While the June 2022 Covid-19 Restrictions are no longer in place, rather than just delete them, we have removed them from the “Visiting Cleveland” page and are keeping them here, as an archive, so we can reference clearly the restrictions in the future if ever needed.
COVID-19 Restrictions

Earlier restrictions applicable to travelers from certain countries that limited the US port of entry to 15 airports which did not include Cleveland are no longer in effect as of 14 September 2020. Accordingly, passengers departing any country who are legally able to enter the United States pursuant to Covid-19 related regulations, restrictions, and exceptions identified below, and conform to all other visa or other requirements to enter the United States, may fly directly into the City of Cleveland.
Current Restrictions:
1. Passengers entering or transiting through the USA must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 15 days (day of vaccination + 14 days) before arrival. Passenger details (e.g., name and date of birth) in the certificate must match those stated in the passport/travel document.
Vaccines accepted are: AstraZeneca (SK Bioscience), AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), CanSinoBIO (Convidecia), Covaxin, Covishield, Covovax, Janssen, Moderna (Spikevax), Nuvaxovid (Novavax), Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty), Sinopharm (BIBP) and Sinovac. This does not apply to:
Nationals of the USA
Residents of the USA
Passengers younger than 18
Airline passengers with an immigrant visa
Airline passengers with the following visas: A-1, A-2, C-2, C-3 (as a foreign government official or immediate family member of an official), E-1 (as an employee of TECRO or TECO or the employee's immediate family members), G-1, G-2, G-3, G-4, NATO-1 through NATO-4, or NATO-6 (or seeking to enter as a nonimmigrant in one of those NATO classifications);
Airline passengers with a letter of invitation or other official document, issued by the USA, by other government or by the United Nations, traveling on duty;
Nationals of Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, DR Congo, Eritrea, Haiti, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, Senegal, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Yemen with a visa issued by the USA, excluding B -1 and B -2 visas;
Members of the U.S. Armed Forces, their spouses, and children younger than 18 years;
Merchant seamen with one of the following visas: C, D, C1/D, B1, H or L
Nationals of Ukraine with an approved Uniting for Ukraine (U4U) authorization.

2. Airline passengers must complete an attestation form before departure. The form can be found at https://www.cdc.gov/quarantine/order-safe-travel.html. This does not apply to:
Nationals and residents of the USA
Passengers younger than 2 years.
3. Passengers are subject to COVID-19 measures set by the state/territory of their final destination. More information can be found at www.cdc.gov/publichealthgateway/healthdirectories/healthdepartments.html
4. DV visas issued in September 2020 that expired are accepted for entry.
5. Passengers could be subject to self-isolation or self-quarantine. This does not apply to:
passengers with a COVID-19 recovery certificate proving recovery in the past 90 days;
passengers with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated at least 15 days (day of vaccination + 14 days) before arrival.
